包裝結構設計是從包裝和生產(chǎn)實際條件出發(fā),依據(jù)科學原理對包裝的外形構造及內部附件進行的設計。設必須保證結構有足夠的強度、硬度及抵抗其他環(huán)境的能力。從包裝的目的來看,必須考慮以下兩個方面,一是保護產(chǎn)品的首要功能,二是滿足現(xiàn)代包裝的重要特征,如運輸、加工特性等。

合格的紙箱產(chǎn)品,從正確的結構設計開始。設計人員不僅要真正的理解客戶的意圖,還要熟悉后序加工工藝。只有這樣,才能把客戶的意圖轉化為合格的產(chǎn)品,并能保證后序加工順利進行。設計人員在設計開始前要了解內裝物的性質、形狀、尺寸、重量,內裝物的排列方式、運輸方式、堆碼方式,內裝物的倉儲環(huán)境、運輸路線和時間以及紙箱箱型和制作材料等信息。

國內的紙箱設計,存在技術和指導思想方面的一些問題,缺乏系統(tǒng)的分析,從而使得所設計出來的包裝不能夠滿足人機工程學以及技術經(jīng)濟合理性等方面的要求。這一點,在目前的紙箱尺寸設計中反映得十分明顯。

目前,我國只是對紙箱的箱型作了明確的規(guī)定,而對紙箱的尺寸大小卻無具體要求,主要由設計者來定。而設計者在確定紙箱尺寸時又主要是考慮兩方面的因素:一是能夠包容得下內容物;二是具有足夠的強度。其實,制約紙箱大小和形狀的因素除去包裝內容物外,還有許多其它的因素,如人機工程學方面的因素、托盤的尺寸、貨車車廂的尺寸大小、集裝箱空間的尺寸大小、配貨架的尺寸大小等。這些因素間既相互獨立,又相互制約影響;既要考慮包裝功能,也要考慮方便性。所以設只有系統(tǒng)地、綜合地把握住所有的制約因素,才能夠真正合理地確定紙箱的尺寸大小。
