高壓紙板成形法也是一種在造紙過程中增強(qiáng)紙板強(qiáng)度的方法。采用擴(kuò)大紙纖維上的受壓點來緊密地壓縮紙板。而紙板結(jié)構(gòu)越緊密，強(qiáng)度就越大。高壓紙板成形也有助于從紙漿中擠出更多的水分，但是關(guān)鍵是要制成更緊密的紙板，提高其抗壓強(qiáng)度。

交聯(lián)是一種在造紙過程中改變纖維方向的加工方法。通常紙纖維是縱向平行走向的，這種箱子成型后纖維水平方向圍繞在箱子周圍，而這是造成紙箱抵抗壓力的的壞方向。交聯(lián)則使許多纖維與機(jī)器方向呈90度走向，加工結(jié)果是許多纖維與箱邊上下垂直走向，這樣就能不增加纖維而增加了紙箱堆碼強(qiáng)度。

Crosslinking is a process that changes the direction of fibers in the process of papermaking. Generally, the paper fiber is parallel in longitudinal direction. After the box is formed, the fiber is horizontally around the box, which is the bad direction that causes the box to resist the pressure. As a result, many fibers are perpendicular to the box edge, so that the stacking strength of cartons can be increased without increasing the fibers.

4、層合

這種增強(qiáng)瓦楞紙箱強(qiáng)度的方法是建立在兩層或更多層；芯紙層合的基礎(chǔ)上的。粘合劑可以是一種簡單的玉米淀粉粘合劑，產(chǎn)生一種強(qiáng)度的芯紙以夾在交聯(lián)的、加壓成形的或常規(guī)強(qiáng)度的紙中間。

This method to enhance the strength of corrugated box is based on two or more layers; the core paper is laminated. The adhesive can be a simple corn starch adhesive that produces a strong core paper to be sandwiched between cross-linked, pressure formed, or conventional strength paper.
